Ames Laboratory Neutron and X-ray Scattering
Group

The
Ames Laboratory neutron and x-ray scattering group is dedicated to the
use of neutron and x-ray scattering for the study of condensed matter
physics and materials science. The group is an unique combination
of scientific research, spectrometer development and service to the
user community, all in the midst of a university teaching
environment. We benefit from being part of the Condensed Matter
Physics Program at Ames Laboratory (a U. S. Department of Energy
laboratory) and the Physics and Astronomy Department at Iowa State
University. In addition, the group maintains facilities at
the High Flux Isotope Reactor at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the
Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory. Please
follow the links and tabs to learn more about our group.
