Honors and Awards

1992 - Wrote a successful proposal for a new program involving new Materials and Magneto-optics ($500/k/year in new money from DOE)

1996 - Wrote successful proposal for a new program in Spin Dynamics ($300K/year)

1998 - Wrote successful proposal for new program in Mag. Molecular ($500K/3 yrs) with M. Luban.

1999 - Wrote successful proposal for a Collaborative Research Team for the Computational Materials Sciences Network ($900K/3 years) with Malcolm Stocks, ORNL.

2000 - Wrote successful proposal for Pan American Advanced Studies Institute ($100K) through IITAP. Wrote a successful proposal with Marshal Luban and others for an expanded effort in Magnetic Molecules.  Funding is at $600k/year.

2003 - Wrote a successful renewal proposal (with Malcolm Stocks, ORNL) to continue our Collaborative Research Team for Magnetism as part of the Computational Materials Science Network. ($285k/year for 3 years).

2003 - Wrote a successful proposal (with Slava Dobrovitski) for Quantum Computing simulations, and received 4 year funding for $650k.
